I spent a bit of time last weekend getting ready for the Christmas season. My good friend Michelle inspired me to make my place look festive. I love these colors of course blues and greens.

You may notice I have a thing for venetian mirrors. I love having the cool reflective surfaces in my environment.
I used these inexpensive feather boas for trim on my lamps last year.

I only need a small tree and this nontraditional one suits me. I am so lucky to have a several windows and a lot of natural light.
I found gift tags in the shape of ornaments a few years ago. They sure are easy to store.

Adorable topper, just right for a bird lover like me.

This handblown glass ornament is very special to me. It was a gift several years ago from a wonderful student. I think of her every year and wonder how she is doing. (Perhaps I’ll change the ribbon to match my color scheme)

These lamps were a major score at Homesense several years ago. I have never regretted getting them. The cedar mask was my first major purchase. I’ve had it for over 20 years.

The colors pick up on some of my artwork. These ones by my dad.

The last feather boa, and some sparkly ribbon. More venetian mirrors in my front entrance.
It’s not perfect, but it suits me and the time I have to put into it.
The only thing missing is a string of led lights, in a nice soft white. I’ll have to venture out for those.

Love it! I have the same lamp from Homesense, sadly only scored one but love it! I love filling it with ornaments as well! Your mirror collectio is so pretty!
This color palette is fabulous! I love it, and I love what you did with the lamp, so creative! Well done, this is festive and fun
