For someone who love blues and greens so much, there’s sometimes little else I think I could live with. This time of year I do think I could live with red and white, especially this shade of red. It’s very scandinavian, and Canadian. I love it with the crisp white of vintage linens and the warmth of wicker or natural wood. I tend to like it as a rustic, cottage accent, but it also looks great with clean-lined modern pieces or ’40′s era vintage.

My own kitchen, a work in progress and not this tidy anymore. Maybe someday I can get a string of lights and a few red accents to pull out for festive occasions.
