I have been checking in on the Sartorialist since the day I discovered it. All I have to do is type ‘the’ and I am whisked away to a wonderful world of inspiration and ‘street style’. Scott Schuman is a talented blogging artist with an amazing eye and a passion for fashion.

He spends a lot of his time searching the streets of New York, Paris, and Milan looking for well dressed fashionistas. To me the term fashionista is someone who is passionate about fashion, slightly off the main stream, quirky, and perhaps a bit of a risk taker. Most of which I am not. I admire these people who confidently strut their stuff, while making it look effortless and easy. Scott captures this in both men and women while out and about.

In January, Scott shared with us an amazing video documenting his world, philosophy and a small snippet of his life.
As I was cyber-stalking Scott, I noticed an interesting name, Garance… I thought hmm that’s a pretty cool name. Eventually, I came to her blog, Garance Dore, (add the french accent) and she is also an amazing blogger, illustrator and photographer.

Well now to my original point. I’ve been wanting to write this, or a similar post for quite a while. I wrote to Schuman to ask permission and well.. let’s face it… who am I? I’m just a small time blogger, who actually forgot to add the link to my blog in my first email. Who is he? Just a world renowned amazing blogger and talented street fashion photographer, racing around the globe appearing at the best fashion shows. So I haven’t heard back from my new BFF. I’m just going to go ahead and reference the heck out of this blog.

New York Fashion Week is starting this week?
I thought I should write about it, but was checking some of my other online obsessions first and what did I see?
A link from Garance about an article in the New York Times. Wow, cool I thought she’s probably covering the shows.
Well guess what I read? Two of my favorite fashion, street style bloggers are a couple! Isn’t is so awesome and totally romantic? You can read more about the couple here (Sharing a Profession and Much More). They could become the ‘it’ fashion couple. Like David Bowie and Iman, or Michael Kors and Heidi Klum (I’m kidding).
Now normally I’m a bit hostile over Valentines Day, being a very happy, very single woman, but this put a bit of a smile on my face today. I like it and I did grow up on old romantic movies filled with perfect couples. I hope this works out and can’t wait to see the photo’s from fashion week.
O.k. I’m off to get another cup of coffee and create. Stay tuned for more about street style and some of the bloggers that inspire me. Assuming I don’t get a cease and desist letter I may share more of my favorites from Scott and Garance too.
