I recently had a short shopping trip, it’s been a while since I’ve been in a store, clothes shopping… no really… it has. So I popped into a local chain after seeing some advertising that peaked my interest (got the shopping addict twitching). Not only did I get an unbelievable deal on a gray trench coat, but I also found an amazing coral boyfriend sweater (like this one here) and a pair of… wait for it… skinny cargo pants. I’ve been seeing them around and thought maybe with a longer top and sweater I could pull them off. I even got into a smaller size than I’ve worn for a while, thanks to stretch faric (YAY!). Plus knowing stretch fabrics can relax during the day, I thought they would be great. I might even try to find them in another color. So I created a fashion mood board with the way I wish I could wear my new skinny cargo pants and the more practical reality of how I am likely to wear them.
I’ve been creating these treasury collections and so here is one with a palette to match that compliments the olive skinny cargo pants.

I love the earthy shades of olive and sage green. I’ll be working on new pieces for my fall series that include more olive materials. Last fall the olive was more yellow, this fall it’s more grey and cool. No matter what the tone, olive is a must any season.

I am so thankful for all the inclusion in these beautiful treasuries on ETSY. I am also amazed and grateful for the all of my readers, regular and new. This is my 155th post, I plan to take advantage of my summer holidays and write more, I have so many more ideas for posts and work to create and share with you so please stay tuned.
P.S. I had a mild star struck moment this week. I’ve been more active on twitter lately and have felt bold enough to participate in the community. I tweeted some of the people I follow and got some thanks back, really nice. I also sent tweets to some bloggers I really admire, like sfgirlbybay writer, Victoria and {frolic!} writer, Chelsea. Victoria responded and like a huge fan I really felt like we had a ‘connection’, she got my sense of humor… I know maybe only in my pea brain, but it was fun. I really admire these ladies who are so talented and have beautiful successful blogs.
One can wish right? Wish for the budget and courage to wear heels with skinny cargos and wish for more ‘connections’ with amazing talented bloggers.
