The third inspiration I find I’m drawing from is a ladylike, femininity. I love old movies and so I’m thinking classic Grace Kelly, but also a little Jessica Rabbit and of course Mad Men. I couldn’t decide, so I made two collages. I used gold in both, because I wanted a warmer palette for fall, perfect for those shorter days and low angle sunlight. I love the purple for this season (Pantone’s Color Forecast for Fall 2011), phlox (and last years orchid) is a gorgeous shade that really compliments warm caramels and browns. I couldn’t resist adding leopard print heels, because as with the first post (here), that is far from my personal style, but more of an ‘I wish’.
Ladylike Feminine by mofunk featuring buckle belts
Above is very ladylike feminine, it’s very Betty from Mad Men. Perhaps lunch at the club with friends? Below is more feminine with a little stomp, more Jessica Rabbit or Joan from Mad Men. Overflowing with confidence.

I look forward to making pieces to compliment these looks. Using filigree for a more feminine touch, in gold and silver. Wrap bracelets with brown leather or waxed cotton and gorgeous czech glass beads.
