One of my favorite summer flowers, I’ve always wished we could get sweet peas that were ever-bearing. We try by clipping off the spent blooms, but really it’s just delaying the inevitable. I guess that’s the way I’m feeling about summer these days. I’m trying to clip off those worrying feelings and avoid thinking about the inevitable end to summer and resumption of work, school, every day life with students. I guess it’s the cycle of the year continuing on, each season has it’s pluses and negatives. For now though, I’m going to keep enjoying the colours and textures I see around me and try not to think about the changes to come.
