It’s that time of year when all of us, even those in sunny California, are reaching for our scarves, changing from iced coffee to hot, and putting on boots instead of sandals. I’ve been enjoying the first few evenings of September, before things get really busy, catching up on my blogs. Last week I was following all the new looks and colours for Spring 2012, from New York Fashion Week. It’s truly ironic that we are feeling the effects of early fall, but planning and looking ahead to spring. Something that I look forward to every year is the colour forecast from Pantone. Below are the colours predicted to be a big hit for Spring 2012. I’ve taken the liberty to break them up my way… cool, warm, and neutral.
I love these cool shades, I can see them with dark washed denim or crisp white jeans. Wouldn’t they be beautiful in a print? Watch for lots of print this spring.
While I don’t wear these all the time, I love the richness of them. I could see them in a cool stripped printed top or a unique pair of skinny jeans.

Of course if you follow me, you know I’m into neutrals. These are particularly nice, with quite a bit of warmth, even the grays.
What do you think you’ll be wearing?
In about 7 months…
