Today was a pretty good day, despite the pouring rain. It was really bad, I mean it was torrential, and required my new trench coat. Yay! Now I’m not usually one to enjoy having my picture taken, and even less likely to post it on the internet for the whole world to see. I’m trying to push myself beyond my comfort zone and the results don’t make me totally cringe, well maybe just a little. The photographer, my colleague David, did a great job, but I may need to bring my tripod next time. After a little editing and playing in photoshop I have a post about what I wear when it both rains and pours.
My Look – Boots: Dixon Short Boots, J.Crew, Jeans: Women’s UlraFit Slim Leg Denim, Land’s End, Top: Jay Manuel Attitude, Sears, Coat: Trench Coat, Mark’s Work Wearhouse, Scarf: unknown
It’s a little enlightening and yet odd, looking at yourself in this manner. When I put on these jeans they feel, quite skinny and snug and yet here they don’t look like it here. (Real skinny jeans might feel positively claustrophobic) I’ve rolled them up a few times, but could maybe try a little more, or just one big turn to show more of my pretty J. Crew boots. I’m not sure I will ever tie this coat again, it’s probably not a look I should repeat. Overall I’m pretty happy with the ensemble and it was quite functional in the pouring rain that made it’s first, but likely not last appearance this fall.
How high should the jeans be rolled? Hmm, comments?

You look fabulous Maureen! So stylin’!
Thanks Barbara, I’m trying to break away from my usual work look.
