The Look: Frye Boots

I was going to be really good and not spend money on non-essential things this month, however, I stumbled across an awesome find and couldn’t resist. These are my gateway boots; second hand Frye lace up ankle boots (not sure exactly which design). One day I saw a tweet from Lynn of Satsuma Press asking if anyone was interested in Frye size 8 boots. I replied, yes, but doubted I could afford them. Her reply, “Let’s talk”, surprised and intrigued me. Lynn is a talented designer and letter press printer, as well as an amazing mom. You can find her at her website (above), but also at her online journal, Satsuma Press. I think I will be trying her recipe for Pretzel Rolls very soon.

Turns out they were a deal I couldn’t pass up, so we made the arrangements for me to pay and receive them. Thanks Lynn so much, I can’t what to take them out for a spin.

Below are a few ideas I thought might look great with my new boots. Included are two Mo’ Funk Designs pieces.

What would you wear these boots with? Let me know.

Have a wonderful week.

Pre-Spring 2012

Pre-Spring Handmade Market @ Poppytalk

They’ve done it again! Another amazing lookbook for Poppytalk’s Pre-Spring Handmade Market.

As you can see in recent posts I’ve been creating in blues and greens, with more on the way. I’m back to making wrap bracelets with beautiful czech glass beads that are perfect for spring and summer. I’m in love with long, dangling earrings in all the top trend colours for this season.
