It’s the beginning of a new week, my final stretch of Spring Break and I, like Rebecca Bloomwood (Confessions of a Shopaholic), have bought the cutest notebooks and most awesome pens. I love these Ecojot notebooks by Carolyn Gavin, they are so perfect for spring and being made from recycled paper, they don’t weigh too heavily on my environmental conscience either. Please take a look at her other products, many of which support amazing causes too.
I’ve been following writer, Charlotte Rivers at her blog, Lottie Loves for a while. I always enjoy her clean, crisp style and how much she loves good design. You should really get a cup of tea or coffee and have a look. At her blog, Charlotte shares DIY Craft Projects, her Creative Loves and great giveaways.
I recently posted about my mood board and it featured an Ecojot notebook I’ve been using for blog ideas and inspiration. Many of you commented on it, and I love it too.
The other day I was pleasantly surprised to see a post from Charlotte, The Creative Loves of… Carolyn of Ecojot, about Ecojot creator Carolyn Gavin. I was so excited to read about the woman who creates these notebooks I drool over every time I see them. She is an amazingly talented artist and successful Canadian business woman. She is so inspiring.
One can dream right?
I love that she incorporates charity in such a big way into her smart environmental business. In October 2010 the company gave 7,000 notebooks were donated to Kenyan children. (Read more Book donation to Kenyan school) She has partnered with the Jane Goodall Institute to create notebooks, journals, and sketchbooks that will support work at the institute.
Thanks for sharing Charlotte.
From now on I won’t feel as guilty buying myself a little eco-pick-me-up.
